Top-of-class pilot training solutions

Our Mission

Train and develop world-class pilots and future leaders for the aviation industry by providing top-of-class pilot training solutions.

Our Vision

An AAG-trained pilot in every flight deck in the regions we serve.

Our Core Values

Service Excellence

Our piloting students can expect nothing less than a first-class learning experience with us, with world-class training infrastructure and an exhaustive training syllabus. Upon completing their training and earning their respective pilot credentials, they will be ready to replicate the same service excellence to their employers, crewmates, and passengers.

Teamwork

AAG’s organizational culture is a competitive one, but not the type that pits cadets against each other. Instead, we teach the value of working together and playing a role in the collective success of the community. When one of our pilots does well, it’s often because they are amply supported by their learning community here at AAG.

Customer Satisfaction

We are deeply committed to engineering the best experiences for our pilots, their employers, and their future passengers. We believe this starts with individualized and highly supportive cadet mentorship, as well as a readiness to serve AAG’s partner clients.

AAG has strategically positioned its training platforms in locations that can best support the growth in the largest aviation market.

Continuous expansion of pilot training capability allows AAG to address the resurgence of airline pilot shortage post-pandemic and offer partner airlines end-to-end cadetship training solutions.

Simulator Maintenance

AAG has the capability and resources to extend simulator operations and maintenance support to multiple training centres, both civil and military. The Group’s Simulator Maintenance team is composed of highly-skilled technicians led by experienced management, whose chief engineers have all worked for leading simulator manufacturers in North America and Europe.

Aircraft Maintenance

The rapid expansion of the basic flight trainer fleet called for the establishment of AICAT’s own Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) in 2019 which is now capable of delivering in-house line and base maintenance services (Cessna C172 and Tecnam P2006T), training and apprenticeship (by the Maintenance Training Center established in 2021) and spare parts provisioning (under its distributors certificate secured in 2022)

The AICAT-AMO long-term plan includes an eventual transition to a Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) facility to cater both civil and military.

How to Become a Pilot in the Philippines

Prepare Your Requirements for Pilot Training

The first thing you should do before pursuing a pilot’s education is to find out what your pilot school requires of you. Give yourself ample time to earn all the necessary credentials and to acquire all the necessary documents that you need for aviation school.

Finish Your Ground School Training
The “ground school” component of your pilot training involves learning all the basic theoretical knowledge you need to fly an airplane. You will need to master the theoretical foundations of flying, such as the laws of motion and the forces of flight, before you move on to your practical training.
Finish Your Flight School Training
“Flight school” is the hands-on component of your pilot training. During flight school, you’ll be able to examine all the controls and equipment involved in actual flight. You’ll also practice flying using a flight simulator and, after some time, embark on your first real flight.
Earn Your Pilot Licenses
Once you’ve acquired all the theoretical knowledge and practical experience you need, it will be time for you to work towards your first pilot licenses. These will involve accumulating enough flight time and amassing a high enough score during each of your assessments with the CAAP.
Earn Your Type Ratings and Other Credentials
In addition to the actual licenses, you can also work to earn additional credentials to make your resume more appealing. These include type ratings to certify your expertise in flying a particular type of aircraft, instrument ratings to certify your ability to fly under instrument meteorological conditions, and multi-engine ratings to certify your ability to fly an aircraft with more than one engine.
What Is Life Like in AAG?

Cadet training as a pilot involves discipline and adherence to hierarchy and rules. AAG’s programs are no exception. But we are also proud of a campus culture that is warm and supportive to students and alumni. As a student in our institution, you will enjoy socialization opportunities with your fellow cadets and get-togethers with alumni upon graduation. You will also be part of an aviation school community that advocates tech-driven educational experiences, holistic formation through diverse extracurricular activities, and gender equality and empowerment especially for women who aspire to be pilots.

Our alumni have gone on to work with companies like Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air, Royal Air, VietJet Air, Pan Pacific Airlines, and Air Asia, among others. Throughout their AAG journey, they are most thankful for the quality pilot training experiences, access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, career opportunities with the industry’s biggest names through avenues like a free OJT program, and a sense of belonging in a community that valued their safety and well-being.
