Pilot Training Journey – FAQs

  • Before enrolling in flight school, it’s essential to meet all prerequisites so your training begins smoothly and without any delays.
  • Check age, education, medical fitness, English proficiency, and documentation requirements early to avoid delays.
  • Once you’re eligible and your initial requirements are prepared, schedule and take the ADAPT assessment. This assessment tool helps AAG identify candidates with the aptitude and skills to succeed as pilots.
  • Submit your application form, upload required documents, and prepare for personal interviews.
Know More About the Admission Process
  • Once accepted, you’ll start ground school-the academic foundation of your training. Study key subjects such as aerodynamics, air law, meteorology, flight planning, aircraft systems, human factors, and radio telephony.
  • AAG delivers ground school through a blended model of instructor-led sessions, digital tools, and regular assessments.
  • Once you've completed ground school and have received regulatory approvals, you’ll transition to flight training under the supervision of a certified flight instructor. Accumulate required flight hours (Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR)) with solo flights, cross-country navigation, night flying, and instrument procedures.
  • Train on simulators to master procedures, emergencies, and cockpit resource management.
  • Once you earn your CPL and Instrument license, you can enrol in advanced modules to enhance your skills and airline readiness. These include:
  • Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC): Learn to operate effectively in a multi-pilot cockpit environment.
  • Jet Orientation / First Officer Transition Modules: Gain exposure to airline-style operations and procedures.
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Theory Course: Build the knowledge base required for the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), preparing you for your future progression to being a Captain.

  • Once you complete your CPL/IR and advanced modules, the next step is earning your Type Rating Certification. A type rating certifies you to operate a specific commercial aircraft, such as the Airbus A320. AAG’s Type Rating programs combine ground theory and full-flight simulator sessions to meet regulatory standards and airline expectations.
