8 Cadet Pilots Undergo AAG A320 Type Rating Program

Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines – Eight (8) cadet pilots from batches 43, 50, 60, and 62 of AAG’s Airline Pilot Program (APP) were oriented for the Airbus Phase of their training on 28 November 2023. This signifies not only their dedication and hard work throughout their rigorous training, but also prepares them for transition towards becoming first officers in the commercial airline industry.

Capt. Anthony Tan (AAGP Head of Training) warmly welcomed the trainees, commending them for their determination and milestone achievement. He also provided an overview of what to expect during their transition training, emphasizing the pivotal role the A320 type rating course plays in propelling their careers forward as pilots.

Capt. Vicente Casibang II (AAGP Accountable Manager) also extended his greetings, underscoring the vital role of knowledge, skills, and attitude in becoming a successful pilot. He encouraged the trainees to embrace the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills as the important step towards mastering the skies.

The FOT Program is designed in accordance with ICAO’s Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) principles, ensuring compliance with PCAR and adherence to the latest Airbus procedures and standards. Delivered by experienced and skilled instructors, the program utilizes a comprehensive suite of state-of-the-art devices and tools. It covers key modules such as Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC), Jet Orientation Training (JOT), and Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT), and can be completed in approximately three (3) months. (AAG News)
