AAG Sends Off 16 First Officer-Qualified Pilots

Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines – Sixteen (16) pilots who successfully completed AAG’s A320 type rating program were recognized in a send-off ceremony on 27 January 2023.

“Now first officer-qualified, these pilots are ready to embark on the next stage of their journey in the commercial airline industry, having benefited from a pilot training program meticulously designed by AAG to develop their pilot competencies following ICAO principles of Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA), employing a pool of instructors with solid competence and experience, and utilizing the most comprehensive suite of state-of-the-art training know-how and technology,” shares Cristopher Magdangal (AAG Chief Operating Officer).

As of writing, a total of 128 cadets have enrolled in AAG’s flagship ab-initio programs since the pandemic was declared in March 2020. Over 50 trainees also joined AAG’s A320 type rating program during the same period. “The steady flow of cadet and trainee intakes even during the height of the pandemic is a strong indication of a continuing demand for pilot training. AAG makes sure that this demand is satisfied through the delivery of top-of-class pilot training solutions,” Magdangal adds.

In his remarks as guest of honor, Capt. Juan De Jesus (AAG Philippines Deputy Chief Synthetic Flight Instructor) lauded the pilots for making the right decision to proceed with their training despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

“AAG would like to congratulate and thank the families and loved ones of our graduates for providing them the needed support especially during those times when the aviation industry was faced with so many challenges and uncertainties,” stated Capt. Gaudencio Maniano (Accountable Manager, AAG International Center for Aviation Training). (AAG Corporate Affairs)
