AAG “CAREs” Program in action: AAG joins CILA relief operations in Abra

Brgy. Labaan, San Quintin, Province of Abra– Premier aviation training solutions provider Alpha Aviation Group (AAG) through its “Community Assistance and Response (CAREs)” Program, joined Clark Investors and Locators Association’s “Ikaw, Ako, Tayo at CILA” Relief Operations for the province of Abra on 12 August 2022.

A total of 515 households in Barangay Labaan in San Quintin, Abra received relief packs from the locator-members of CILA. The group also donated 200 sets of pillows and blankets, clothes, and other basic commodities. Members of the AAG Volunteers Club assisted in the distribution of the relief packs together with other CILA members.

On 27 July 2022, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake jolted northwestern Luzon with its epicenter recorded in the province of Abra. The tremors and aftershocks may have ceased, but the aftermaths of the quake are still evident through the damages it caused on infrastructures, heritage sites, and on people’s livelihood.

AAG Regional Director for Asia-Pacific and current CILA President stressed the thrust of both organizations to play an active role in addressing the needs of the community and helping the people recover from the effects of the catastrophe. “We are one with the people of Abra as they navigate the road to recovery. Helping our kababayans in times of need in whatever way we can is second nature to us Filipinos. And we, at AAG and CILA, live by that trademark “Bayanihan” spirit. We will strive to respond to any call for help even outside of Clark Freeport Zone,” Mr. Magdangal stressed.

The Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA) is a non-profit organization that supports and represents locator-members in their aim to make Clark Freeport Zone investor-friendly. AAG has been an active member of CILA over the years and has worked with the organization in various projects, community outreach, and donation drives through the AAG CAREs Program.

The AAG CAREs Program on the other hand, is the company’s primary CSR platform established to serve the bigger community. The program showcases AAG’s value-creation and sharing initiatives as a member of a bigger family, community and industry.
