AAG Inducted 2 New Pilots to Flight Instructor Course

Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines – Two (2) pilots were inducted to the Alpha Aviation Group’s Flight Instructor Course (FIC) on 23 November 2023, adding to the growing number of over 40 FIs trained since the course’s inception in 2020. Notably, both individuals joining this intake are alumni of AAG’s Airline Pilot Program (APP).

Capt. Gimby Cervania (AAG International Center for Aviation Training [AICAT] Head of Training) thanked the pilots for joining the program in his welcome remarks, underscoring AAG’s commitment to its goal of developing world-class pilots and future aviation leaders through top-of-class training solutions.

“Your role extends beyond imparting knowledge; it empowers you to instill the passion and dedication essential for success in the aviation industry to shape the future generation of aviation leaders”, shared Capt. Gaudencio Maniano (AICAT Accountable Manager) in his remarks.

The FIC is designed to enable trainees to qualify for an FI License issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and to provide them an in-depth understanding and appreciation of diverse aviation concepts and systems. Utilizing the Alsim AL172 MKII FNPT II for simulated sessions that mirrors a Cessna 172SP Skyhawk NAV III aircraft and is equipped with the advanced Garmin G1000® NXi avionics suite, the trainees are provided with a highly realistic experience surpassing most simulators in its class. (AAG News)
