AAG’s 15th Founding Anniversary

“AAG: Better. Stronger”
15th Founding Anniversary

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Pampanga – Alpha Aviation Group, the country’s premier pilot training institution, commemorates its 15th founding anniversary with the theme “AAG: Better. Stronger”. The theme depicts the strength and the resiliency of the AAG family in responding to the challenges and hurdles the organization faced for the past 15 years and how these paved the way for AAG to emerge stronger, better and more resilient than ever.

The “New Normal” conditions may have curtailed the AAG family from doing its usual celebration but through the help of technology and modern platform, the group was able to commemorate this special day through an online / virtual anniversary gathering. Organized by the Human Resource Department, the AAG family – employees working onsite, working from home and even those deployed in other outstations, were able to come together and take part in the commemoration of the company’s remarkable milestone.

Capt. Manny Maniano, one of AAG’s Synthetic Flight Instructors, lead the opening / thanksgiving prayer. The program was formally opened by Capt. Vic Casibang, AAG’s Acting Accountable Manager. In his welcome address, he underscored how the combined strength of the AAG family enabled the company to reach this milestone and encouraged all the members to continue working as team and as a family.

One of the highlights of the program is the launch of the Alpha Aviation Group Credit Cooperative (AAGCCo.). This initiative aims to help members of the AAG family have additional source of savings and income through the coop. The initiative was formally introduced by Capt. Lito Gutierrez, AICAT’s Accountable Manager and at the same time an advocate and a practitioner of financial wellness. He explained how a cooperative works, how it is governed and how it can assist its members towards financial wellness.

Today’s program has also been an avenue to recognize employees who have rendered their services to the company for 5 years and more. HR Supervisor, Fernan Yusi, lead this part of the program. A total of 30 employees were recognized with years of service ranging from 5 to 13 years. Victor Dufort, AAG’s Simulator Maintenance Manager, leads the list in terms of tenure, working for the company for about 13 years and 4 months.

AAG’s Regional Director for Asia Pacific, Mr. Cristopher Magdangal, delivered the State of the Organization Address. In his speech, he thanked the members of the AAG family for their hardwork and dedication and encouraged everyone to keep on innovating and improving and to push towards greater efficiency.

In between each part of the program are trivia questions facilitated by the emcee. Employees who were able to provide the correct answer for each trivia question received limited edition AAG merchandise as their prize. Trivia questions cover significant milestones of AAG for the past 15 years. The short anniversary program ended with HR’s announcement of the opening of the virtual bazaar, an initiative providing opportunity to the members of the AAG Family to promote their business and sell their products within the group as a way of showing the company’s support to its employees.

Overall, the current situation may have hampered the company from celebrating the usual way but this virtual anniversary gathering is a proof that no matter what comes our way, as long as we work as a team and care as a family, our combined strength and our resiliency will always enable this family emerge better and stronger. We are team AAG, a united family, stronger than any adversity.

Happy 15th Founding Anniversary AAG!
