Boy Scouts visit AAG Philippines

Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines – Fifteen (15) members of Boy Scout Troop 485, accompanied by Edgar LaBenne (Boy Scout Troop 485 Charter Organization Representative) and other officials from the Boy Scouts of America, visited AAG Philippines to earn their Aviation Merit Badges last 01 July 2023.

Troop 485 was established in 2013 and chartered by Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2485, located in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines. Boy Scout Troop 485 is part of the East Asia District in the Far East Council of the Boy Scouts of America ( The troop currently has over 30 scouts age ranging from 12 to 16 years old.

Boy Scouts tried flight simulator

Charmaine Cecil Liwanag (AAGP Marketing & Sales Executive) provided the scouts with a comprehensive overview of AAG programs and training courses, outlining the basic requirements and preparations to become a cadet pilot. The scouts were later toured around the simulator training center and given simulator discovery flights, fulfilling the basic requirements for them to earn their Aviation Merit Badges.
