AAG Sends Off 14 New First Officer-Qualified Pilots

Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines – Fourteen (14) pilots who successfully completed AAG’s A320 type rating program were recognized in a send-off ceremony on 29 July 2023. The event marked the culmination of their remarkable journey as pilot trainees, as they prepare to embark on the next phase of their career as first officers.

“A good co-pilot should be a critical thinker, a second decision maker, an excellent communicator and most importantly, a team player,” shares Dennis E. Ortiz (Proprietor and Training Specialist, Learning Curve Training and Development Services) in his remarks as guest of honor and speaker.

In his congratulatory remarks, Capt. Vicente Casibang II (AAG Philippines Accountable Manager) lauded the pilots for their determination and accomplishments. “Today, we honor your achievements and welcome you to the prestigious community of pilots. Fly high, enjoy the journey and allow your love for flying to reach new heights,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Capt. Anthony Tan (AAGP Head of Training) assured the pilots and their families of AAG’s continuous support through their journey as first officers in the aviation industry. “There will be a lot of rejections, failures, and disappointments along the way but do not be discouraged. Continue trying until you succeed. Every rejection, failure and disappointment will make you stronger and more resilient. When you finally succeed, the reward will be enormous and will last you a lifetime,” he said. (AAG Corporate Affairs)
