CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Pampanga – Amidst the increasing tension and worry brought about by the surge in confirmed cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the AAG Family chooses to remain calm and positive as it mitigates the potential impact of the outbreak to its trainees, employees and other key stakeholders.
“Others see it as a crisis; we see it as a challenge. And we’re up for it”, says Mr. Cristopher Magdangal, AAG’s Regional Director for Asia Pacific during the emergency meeting with the managers and other supervisors held this morning at the 3F, AAG Simulator Training Center Annex Building. RD Cris encouraged everyone not to panic and try to live a normal life while taking extra precaution to avoid the disease and cooperate in all the SOPs and protocols initiated by the company.
AAG’s Head of Strategic Human Resources, Ms. Gina Vallejo, echoed RD’s words by reminding managers and supervisors that employees can avail of their leave credits yet should ensure that tasks are accomplished and deliverables are submitted on time. She emphasized the company’s objective to strike a balance between prioritizing the health and safety of the entire AAG community while making sure that its commitment to deliver world-class pilot training is uncompromised.
Alpha Aviation Group has launched SOPs and protocols to mitigate the potential impact of the disease and keep AAG “COVID-19 Free”. These safety measures include: AAG-wide orientation and briefing on how to avoid COVID-19, daily temperature check for all employees, cadets and guests on all operating hubs, post and pre-flight sanitation of all training fleet and simulators and daily sanitation of offices and briefing rooms specially the frequently touched objects and surfaces like doorknobs, desk, computer keyboards, etc. AAG’s company nurses also provide assistance and monitoring to those who individuals indicating any symptoms like fever, colds or difficulty in breathing.
The entire AAG Family is encouraged to remain strong in challenging times like this as it continues to prove that “the strength of a united AAG Family is stronger than any adversity”.
