AAG Welcomes Veteran Airline Pilots to its SFI Course

Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines – Four (4) veteran airline pilots were inducted to the AAG Philippines’ (AAGP) A320 Synthetic Flight Instructor Course (SFIC) on 21 June 2023, adding to more than 70 the number of SFIs trained since the course was rolled out in 2016.

“You will play a critical role in instilling confidence, honing skills, developing competencies, and shaping the next generation of airline pilots. Your guidance and mentorship will be instrumental in fostering a deep understanding of aviation principles and preparing trainees for the challenges they will face as they embark on their careers in the airlines,” underscores Capt. Anthony Tan (AAGP Head of Training) in his welcome remarks.

Meanwhile, Capt. Vicente Casibang II (AAGP Accountable Manager) highlighted the course’s comprehensive philosophy designed to equip the trainees with vital skills and expertise to excel as SFIs. “Our SFI Course will enable you to not only impart knowledge and skills, but more importantly th attitude, passion and dedication needed to succeed in the aviation industry,” Capt. Casibang shared.

AAG’s A320 Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) Course is designed for experienced pilots with an ATPL license and a minimum of 1,000 flight hours on type. (AAG Corporate Affairs)
